Call for Proposals – Georgia Positive Behavior Supports Conference

The call for proposals for the 2013 Georgia Positive Behavior Support conference is now open.  The conference is scheduled December 4-5, 2013. We are seeking presentations that represent innovative ideas and best practices, and that reflect the values of positive behavior support. Presentation proposals are due July 1, 2013. Acceptable presentation formats include:
  • Discussion (50-minute talk by an individual or group of presenters)
  • Poster (At least one presenter must be available for duration of poster session)
  This year’s conference will include specialized tracks for birth to five educators and family members.   Topics Include: Individualized positive behavior supports Person-centered planning School-wide positive behavior interventions and supports Academic achievement and positive behavior supports Cultural competence Disproportionality Response to intervention School climate Bullying Functional behavioral assessment Strengths-based behavior intervention plans Positive behaviors supports for birth through five Positive behavior supports in the home Positive behavior supports in the community Positive behavior supports for adults   All presentation rooms will be equipped with screens, projectors, a presentation table, and Internet access. Presenters should bring their own laptops.   Primary presenters will receive their conference registration fee waived.
